ARSEC ENVIRONMENTAL
AWARDED TASK ORDER
LANL T.O. Valued at $1.5M awarded through
MTOA
White Rock, New Mexico – October 8, 2009 –
ARSEC
Environmental, LLC, a SBA approved Joint
Venture between American Radiation Services,
Inc. (dba ARS International) and Safety and
Ecology Corporation (SEC), was awarded
a task order valued at $1.5M by Los
Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) to
perform hazardous abatement and removal
services scheduled to be completed by June,
2010.
ARSEC Environmental will
perform the work under its Master Task Order
Agreements (MTOA)
contract from LANS for projects at the Los
Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This is
the first task order for field work awarded
by LANL under the MTOA funded by the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
(ARRA).
“This is a great ARRA win
for ARSEC and its team members,” said
Danny Coleman, ARSEC/ARS
CEO. “Our team stands ready to provide
extraordinary service to LANS at the LANL
site, and looks forward to future MTOA
wins.” This task order will staff
approximately 20, including technical and
field support personnel.
Under the MTOA, the task
orders are partially funded by the ARRA and
contain a maximum capacity of $100M.
The four awarded companies will bid
competitively for a variety of Remedial
Action (RA) / Decommissioning and Demolition
(D&D) services at LANL Technical Area-21
(TA-21).

to ensure all removal activities are
completed safely and on time,” said
ARSEC/SEC President, Mark J. Duff.
Led by ARSEC Program
Manager Steve
Shirley, this task order
will be supported by subcontractors Weston
Solutions, providing field engineering
services, and Keers Remediation, providing
asbestos and lead abatement.
